Table Talk June, 2019

Wow! I have so much respect and gratitude for my clients who were on the table this past month. It seems as though everyone has reached a turning point in their readiness to clear out the old and make room for the new. I include myself in this readiness. What have I noticed?

I have noticed that my clients are willing to be aware and vulnerable when they are on the table. Showing up is more than 1/2 the battle no matter what we are trying to accomplish. I have had many a client show up and say, “I don’t really know what I need, just do what you do”. I could take that as a compliment and I could also take it as a responsibility. I don’t do either though because the truth is, I believe that my client does know what they need. We all know what we need but may not be able to articulate it. That is the beauty of being multi-layered beings: our bodies hold all of the information we need. We need different languages in order to unlock the healing powers within. The right keys are multi-faceted; in my practice with you, I use Massage, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, and EFT. The other two components needed are that we both show up with our intention being that we allow the wisdom of healing to lead us into the work.

I truly believe that we all have a capacity for healing. I have chosen to spend my time, resources and energy to learn some of the languages of healing. That is my pleasure and I would not be a good practitioner if I didn’t get healing work done too. Getting the work done is not always pleasurable as many of you can attest to. It means that we have to feel pain and discomfort. I have recently been reminded that when I release or revisit old stuff, it’s not like it isn’t here in my body and in my energy field anyway. It’s always there- you know what I am talking about- all those painful, embarrassing experiences, all that grief, all the things that happen that we shove down, try not to feel, pretend that we were done processing. It comes out in our body in so many ways- as high blood pressure and addictions, broken bones and diabetes, anxiety and depression. It comes out in traffic when we overreact to other drivers; at our mother/father/brother/sister when we are trying to break out of an old family pattern and they seem to drag us back in.

Recently with my clients, I see them becoming aware of a bigger picture, of allowing a non-cerebral solution to present itself. These brave souls have revisited loved ones who have past, have breathed into the pain of a torn tendon, grieved a loved one and then reframed their last good-bye. Several people who came in for a message have left the treatment room and reportedly cried all the way home because, “something shifted and I feel so much better”. This work they are doing has long lasting implications. They are able to move better, create more easily and just be present more often.

If we do not make an opportunity to clear out the old information and feelings, all the newer stimuli gets tangled up in the energetic web of stress that we are holding on to and we end up carrying a lot more than we need to. Everyday life becomes stressful because we are not able to see, hear and process from a clean slate, We are exposed to so much information now through social media, news reports and even workmates and friends; it’s easy to get overwhelmed if we don’t have a plan in place for releasing what doesn’t serve us, and indeed, what isn’t even ours. We want to work at cleaning up our own vibrations so that we can think more clearly, move more freely and create more abundantly. I am right there with all of you who have chosen to live from a place of power by doing the powerful clearing inner-work!
